Discipline in the New Energy

Discipline… what does that word feel like for you?

When I was young, I hated it and rebelled against it.

Today, I love it - because it's all mine.

Self-directed from the presence that I am. ✨

It’s empowering.

Now, discipline means I am continuously aware of what I'm doing and why - and then choosing what truly works for me, for my health and enjoyment in all ways. 🌱

Discipline is a gentle and loving reenactment each day, with minor adjustments. It creates excitement for a life that keeps getting better (custom designed for me!). And it's okay if I stumble or don’t follow through. There’s no threat of judgment or punishment - only another day to watch, listen, expand, feel, and adjust my actions.

It’s progress, not perfection.

It’s baby steps, not huge leaps. 🐾

At times, everything flows so naturally from within when I feel clear and connected. This is especially true during times of expansion, when alignment is crisp and expression feels effortless.

Other times, I must rely on all my faculties. This is especially true during integration, when things feel fuzzy or slowed down - like it's hard to flow at all. This is when patience, knowing, logic, intellect, silence (and more) must be embraced and honored. One discipline that helps me here is saying no to things, and turning inward as much as needed - into nothingness and presence - until the natural flow returns.

When the mind stops planning, solving and questioning, things unveil themselves to me that weren’t even on its radar. The ego's worry list, as long as it is, is a minuscule speck of view as compared to what creation really is… and what it truly wants to offer us. 🌌

Expansion is when I embody light.

Integration is when I digest it.

The light sinks deeper into the nervous system and other places that have yet to catch up to the new way of being. Resistance, judgment, and fears rear up and crumble as they leave the subtle energy layers - and even the cells of the body.

The ego/mind will say “I don’t wanna” to the very things the body is asking for. Take the conscious breath, for example. Once you start breathing deep into your core, the emotions trapped there can feel awful… but you’re merging them out so you can feel lighter.

It’s tempting to backslide into old habits during these phases, but this is where discipline - paired with presence and awareness - becomes a beautiful thing. 🌀 In the last few years, it’s been morning workouts and lots of walking. Why discipline? Because “I don’t wanna” get on the mat or go out the door when it’s chilly out in the morning! 😆

My personal human would sit all day, eat chips, pizza, and drink beer - and I’ve done a lot of that! But I also realized I felt like crap within days. My body feels a million times better when I get daily movement, do something truly joyful, and eat reasonably. Even better - I feel expansion, evolution, success, and loads more creativity. This amplifies a spiral upward in vibration and expression… once again.

Discipline 💛

Some of my internal favorites: presence, patience, trust, joyful things, and endless unconditional acceptance of myself.

Externally: daily structure and activities that feel wonderful for my body, mind, and energy levels.

If there’s any change you’d like to see in your life… dive in.

Make it all yours.

And don’t settle for less. 🙏🏼

Namaste ♥️✨
